Jeff Horn sounds off on 'annoying' Pacquiao tweets: 'They're just mind games'

The WBO welterweight champion has narrowed down his next potential opponent to four men, and is asking his Twitter followers to select the most exciting option for the bout, which is expected to take place in the United Arab Emirates.

However, alongside a poll posted on his official Twitter account, Pacquiao wrote: "Who do you want me to fight next in the UAE?"

"#TeamPacquiao" the WBO world welterweight champion tweeted, appearing to scupper reports that he would next fight Australia›s Jeff Horn in Brisbane in April.

"For the last six weeks I've been dealing with Bob Arum and Top Rank, since he's the promoter of Manny Pacquiao, to put this together", Lonergran told the Sydney Morning Herald.

But if the boxing fans would rather see Pacquiao fight Brook and Khan, then what does that tell you about Crawford?

Duco said Top Rank were sending representatives to Brisbane next week to inspect the stadium and other facilities, which would indicate a Queensland fight was still very much in the reckoning. He has always been linked with a super-fight against Pacquiao, who, before the Vargas fight, told Sky Sports in November 2016 that he would be open to the possibility of facing his "friend" Khan.

And Pacquiao has decided his next fight should be decided by his loyal followers.

"I think all these tweets are just mind games, a ploy for Pacquiao and his team to show me that they have all the power and they are calling the shots over the fight", Horn said.

However, Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz fronted the press in Abu Dhabi on Saturday to claim it would "100 per cent" take place in the UAE, with more details to be announced shortly.

"Manny Pacquiao is exclusively signed to a promotional contract with Bob Arum's company Top Rank, " he said, "and Bob Arum's people continue to tell me to keep working on the deal (for Brisbane) and get it done".

Pacquiao, who will go down as a boxing great, now boasts a staggering record of 59 wins, six losses and two draws. Duco believe Top Rank have the final say, assuming they can get Pacquiao on board.

In a unanimous court decision, United States heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder has won his latest fight.
