Ronaldinho backs Gabriel Jesus to replace Messi as world's best

Brazilian legend Ronaldinho has backed Manchester City wonder kid Gabriel Jesus to replace Lionel Messi as the best player in the world.

Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus has suffered a fractured metatarsal, the club confirmed on Tuesday, and he could be out for the next 2-3 months as he recovers, according to reports. "Yes, they didn't win their game this weekend, but they still played so solid".

Guardiola was seen talking to Arter after City's 2-0 win away to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Monday.

Arter was part of a midfield overrun and outclassed as City excelled to move up to second in the Premier League table.

The news was worse than they expected and City will now be without Jesus for a minimum of three months, which would take him up to the end of May.

However, the manager is satisfied that Aguero is doing his best to fit in with his style.

"I think we are a better team than we was back then, so I am sure we will be a little bit more ready this time", Wilshere added.

"I played for Barcelona four or five years ago in a deeper position so I know what to do".

"I know how much he fought against Tottenham and how many chances he had. Any injuries we get to established first-team players are going to be hard to manage".

Jesus, who has scored three times since arriving at City in January, went down clutching his right foot after chasing a through ball from Raheem Sterling in the early stages of Monday's match on the south coast.

In his eighth season at City, Kompany's injury nightmare means his name is no longer mentioned in dispatches alongside Europe's elite clubs.

Jesus joined Pep Guardiola City squad this January and has had an immediate impact, scoring three goals in his last two games, including a victor against Swansea last weekend.

"That's what made me decide to come here, because what the club was trying to do was bring in big players - winning players".

"For him to offer that to me, I respected it and accepted it with a smile on my face".
