Packers, Seahawks & Lions Interested in TJ Lang

Lang is the second offensive lineman to leave the Packers during free agency.

Lang was a favorite of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who voiced his desire for the team to re-sign the lineman who was voted to his first Pro Bowl previous year.

His agent tweeted out the news. Jahnke also said Lang's run-blocking grade went up in four straight seasons before his 2016 Pro Bowl campaign and wrote "the combination of his pass- and run-blocking landed him fifth on our list of starting guards last season". "Honestly, it was exciting a little bit of the time, but it was stressful". Lang would be a big get for any of these three teams after grading out as PFF's No. 13 guard out of 77 qualifiers last season. They were in the mix to retain Lang, who would have stayed in Green Bay if the money was close. Had a great visit out there with all the coaches and everybody.

Another one of the Green Bay Packers' top free agent priorities has made his decision about his future. I just needed to get home last night, sleep it off, try to think about everything, weigh all my options and try to make a decision today. "It's been stressful. We narrowed it down to those three teams because, I'll tell ya', we felt those three teams were just ready to win now, a great attitude around the programs".

Lang was a fourth-round selection in 2009 and played 119 games (94 starts) for the Packers.

Still, Bob Quinn has shown his devotion to fixing the offensive line in an effort to improve the Lions' running game, which ranked 25th in DVOA in 2016.
