Colin Farrell and Eva Green also are in talks to join the project too.

Beetlejuice 2 looks no closer to becoming a reality, but at least Michael Keaton and Tim Burton look to be getting the chance to reunite once more.

Keaton is said to be in talks to play the movie's villain, who buys the circus and intends to exploit the elephants. If it turns true, then the film marks a nostalgic reunion between director Tim Burton and Michael Keaton (Birdman) ever since they worked together in 1992's Batman Returns.

With three live-action remakes having been rousing success stories, Disney has planned out a huge slate of remakes of its classic films to thrill whole new generations of theater goers.

Variety reports that Keaton is in negotiations to play the "villain" in Dumbo.

The plot of the film will revolve both around the baby elephant with enormous ears, as well as some children that befriend him.

Ehren Kruger has penned the script for the new project.

Keaton's most recent work includes the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming where he will star alongside Tom Holland, the latest actor to grace the big screen as the web-slinging superhero, as the villainous Vulture character. The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast have just been added to the list very recently. Given the fact that Burton's version of Disney tale is still in the early stages of pre-production, a release has yet to be announced.
