Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus "Prototype" LEAKS With Dual Camera

The S8 is viewed as an opportunity for Samsung to demonstrate it can produce a fault-free handset, and yet, it looks as though there is a problem. On the other hand, Samsung's staking a lot on Bixby with the Galaxy S8 and wants to make sure that users are tapping into the digital assistant.

The smartphones, which have captured the imaginations of the world with their "Infinity Display" and radical bezel-less design are to be sold exclusively online via Flipkart.

Lastly, both smartphones come with facial recognition support, an Iris scanner, Samsung Knox, IP68 dust and water resistance, Samsung Pay and earphones tuned by AKG. But with Samsung also leaving the other main feature shown to drive upgrade cycles - the rear camera - mostly unchanged, Apple and other rivals still have a big opening to differentiate themselves this fall.

Samsung S8 specifications: The smartphone has a 4 GB RAM along with 64 GB ROM. Both the displays have the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.

While the quality of images originally surfaced earlier this month were not good, the new images are particularly clear, showing the smartphone with a dual camera setup on its back.

Elsewhere, the Galaxy S8+ has a handful of cool features and perks that Apple doesn't. The phone will support the voice acticvated assistant Bixby. We'll have to wait and see when Bixby finally launches for English speaking users. Samsung is launching the Exynos 8995 octa-core processor variant of the two devices in India, which will run on Android version 7.0 Nougat. It also has professional and auto mode resembling pictures clicked in a DSLR. Both the smartphones have nearly similar specifications except for the battery capacity and display size. According to a leaked prototype unit, Samsung was planning on fitting a dual camera on the Galaxy S8+. The S8+'s footprint is especially narrow compared to the iPhone with its thicker borders around the screen.
