Apple Introduces 'Do Not Disturb While Driving' Feature for iOS 11

You'd have to open QuickTime Player and go through about 10 different steps before you could get even the most basic video of yourself using the device. So your app doesn't have to be ideal from the very beginning, you can still release a v2 and clean your ratings. Essentially, Apple is - for the first time - giving us a visible filesystem, something it had always previously argued was unnecessary. The news here is the calendar widget (or presumably any other one) being popped out from the right side of the screen.

With the iOS 11 update, all of the 32-bit apps in Apple Stores will be rendered useless and can no longer run on a newer version.

Apple did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment.

Among other things, there are redesigns in the App Store, Calculator, and Podcasts, with a new app drawer in Messages.

As you may well remember, last year's iOS 10 brought new Lock Screen features, as well as the integration of third party apps in iMessage and Apple Maps.

Reports suggest that Apple will incorporate a feature in iOS 11 which will allow iPhone users to exchange password simply by approving a nearby phone and sending them the password.

This isn't a surprise; developers have had almost two years to update their apps to comply with the newest standards.

Furthermore, the iOS 11 made a major facelift in the Control Center. The feature will be available when the mobile operating system is released.

When news.com.au reported on the expected change earlier this year, a number of readers expressed disappointment saying they preferred the more compact size of the old device, which is notably smaller than its successors.

iOS 11 will run on the iPhone 5s and all follow-up smartphones, including the SE.
