Detroit Lions acquire OT Greg Robinson in trade with Los Angeles Rams

In addition to the trade, ESPN's Field Yates reports that free agent offensive lineman Cyrus Kouandjio, formerly of the Buffalo Bills.

Kouandjio played in 12 games for the Buffalo Bills last season, his third in the NFL. Now in Los Angeles, the Rams didn't use the picks as well as they could've but they did bring in good players. "We're happy to have them. We wish him the best as he embarks on this new chapter".

After the team signed offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth in March, Robinson was working behind Jamon Brown at right tackle in offseason workouts. There is no better player to turn to than Robinson.

"I plan on benefitting from it tremendously", he said after taking in Detroit's last minicamp practice Thursday. Continuing, he said, "We're happy to have them".

"It's really refreshing", Robinson said. Decker's injury has the potential to torpedo what otherwise looks like a strong offense.

He was not arrested and he declined comment on situation Thursday. And, yes, the Rams trolled their trade partners by declaring that they intend to dominate with Washington picks.

"I'm not concerned about that", Caldwell said. Both will have to learn the playbook before the start of training camp in late July.

Both moves appear to be relativity affordable gambles by general manager Bob Quinn that could end up saving the Detroit Lions' upcoming season. But an ankle injury sidelined him for four games after he'd made two starts.

Contract terms weren't announced for Kouandjio, but it's likely to be a one-year deal at or near the league minimum with minimal guarantees.

Greg was one of several Rams players drafted via the infamous trade with Washington, which led to Robert Griffin III going to the Redskins. The Rams had tested him out in the guard position, and right tackle before giving him to the Lions.

"Some things have changed".

Some analysts felt Robinson projected better as a guard at the National Football League level, but the Rams stuck with him at tackle. There will be some new faces heading to their team. I guess makes for interesting reading for someone, but for us we know what he certainly - he's got ability.
