No pressure on us ahead of ICC CT final: Virat Kohli

"It's no surprise, you ask anyone, he or she will put India in the hot seat tomorrow", India's number one Test wicketkeeper Saha said on the sidelines of a CAB first division league match today. The last time India and Pakistan met in the finals was in T20 World Cup in 2007.

India, on the other hand, started their champions trophy campaign in an emphatic fashion by Pakistan by 124 runs under the D/L method but suffered a seven-wicket loss to Sri Lanka.

"What we are going to try to do is repeat the similar sort of cricket that we have played so far, knowing the strengths and weaknesses they have".

"Intense and serious in matches and at practice, he retains the invaluable ability to switch off from the game, relaxing, laughing and joking at every opportunity". Except for that brief hiccup against Sri Lanka, they have booked their berths with a dominance not usually seen in world cricket.

About what kind of interactions he has had with his team, Kohli replied that there's no over-excitement as they have gone through the routines. "And that can only happen when you're able to connect with yourself first", said Kohli. revealing his personal "checklist" before a big game.

"We have seen a lot of happiness in our country and (our fans have) supported us through this tournament. So that exposes more and more young players to pressure situations, and I think the more we can expose our guys to those situations, the better results we get out on the ground". Pakistan have won just one of their past eight matches against their biggest cricketing enemy and haven't beaten them at a major global tournament since the 2009 Champions Trophy. Everyone is aware of the talent they have - they can beat any side in the world. You can never tell how a particular team starts a tournament. "They are better than Pakistan when you compare the players, but I think they could get complacent and this could work to Pakistan's advantage". They have a dubious reputation in the field, at times adopting a somewhat apathetic approach to the ball as it rockets towards them.

"You can't ignore it".

India will go into the final with a 14-2 winning record against the Green Brigade in all major International Cricket Council (ICC) tournaments. After battling back in the next games against their opponents, the Pakistan team has managed to reach the final now.

"The biggest thing is to stay off social media". It is very important to realise the things that might or might not happen in the game. Although the Pakistan team doesn't have the same pedigree as the Indians, they have been some notable performances by their young opener Fakhar Zaman, leggie Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali and seam duo of Mohammad Aamir and Junaid Khan which sparked up the team's journey to the finals. You have to find a way to deal with it. "It's importance to maintain the balance of being confident on your own skill and what you are doing as a team", he added.
