The zoo says the three were introduced Tuesday morning in Hippo Cove's outdoor pool before the zoo opened, and the short introduction went well.

Fiona was the first Nile hippo born at the Cincinnati Zoo in 75 years. "Bibi intervened when Henry got too close to Fiona, which was exactly what we were hoping to see." .

It's the first time Fiona has been with her mom and dad at the same time.

"It has taken nearly six months to reach this major milestone, and it feels great", Gorsuch said. It's the first picture of the family together since Fiona's premature birth in January. "I'm proud of our team".

The family will take time to get to know one another and continue their jaunts outside so that Fiona can continue getting acclimatized.

Fiona was born prematurely and has been separated from Bibi and Henry for the majority of her life.

In a recent Facebook post that drew more than 57,000 comments and 12,000 shares, the zoo asked its followers to comment with their locations, showing off Fiona's global fan base. The normal range is 55-120 pounds. Then she met each of her parents outside. She overcame health scares and now weighs almost 375 pounds (170 kilograms).

There is still no set schedule for when Fiona will be out. And they posed for the cutest family pic we've seen so far this summer.
