Google Denies Knowing Chandigarh Boy Claiming Rs 1.44 Crore Job Offer

In a conversation with the media, Harshit said that since the age of 10, his interest in the field of design began to grow. But, Google denied the news stating that no recruitment is being done from schools, in the world.

In a statement to the India Today Tech, a Google spokesperson said, "Currently, we don't have any information on our records with respect to Harshit Sharma's candidacy". It was his dream company and he never imagined to fulfill it so soon, he says.

Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence. Google has selected Harshit for its graphic designing team. He will be working from Google's headquarter in California. The boy sent a letter on Whatsapp regarding the recruitment with Google but the letter got deleted by mistake.

Google will train him for the first month. The official release by the Union Territory administration also mentioned that he will be trained initially for a year and once he finishes his training, Harshit is expected to receive Rs 12 lakh per month, reported Hindustan Times.

Harshit Sharma, a Class 12 student of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 33-B (GMSSS - 33D), Chandigarh went from hero to villain in a couple of days after widespread media reports that Sharma has been selected by Google for "graphic designing" and would fetch a monthly salary of Rs. 12 lakh, once his year long training was over.

When we came to know yesterday that it (appointment letter) was fake, I called him and his mobile was switched off, said Indra Beniwal adding that his parents, a teacher and principal, also refused to respond despite being contacted. Overnight, the student from the school's IT stream was a national hero, simply by virtue of him realising the Great Indian Dream. I cannot tell you how happy I am Who can guess that average student like me can also get a job in Google.

Chandigarh Administration which on Tuesday announced the selection of Sharma as a graphic designer with Google said that the boy would be hired initially as a trainee with a stipend of Rs 4 Lakh INR and on completion would start with a salary of Rs 12 lakh per month.
