Coolpad launches 'Note 5 Lite C' at Rs 7777

Coolpad has expanded its smartphone portfolio with the launch of its Note 5 Lite C for the Indian market.

Just like other Android phones in this price range, the device has a fingerprint sensor on the back side and sports a metal unibody design. Also note, as an Amazon exclusive, the smartphone will be available with a priced tag of Rs 8,199. While on the contrary, the front imaging aspects offer a selfie shooter of 5 MP along with f/2.4 aperture.

"There is a lot more that will come from Coolpad for our India fans, as we plan to start one major online flagship on 20 August and four more offline particular products by the end of 2018". It also has better performing gears with an octa-core Snapdragon 435 chipset, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor along with Adreno 304 GPU to handle the graphics. The Coolpad Note 5 Lite C packs a 2500mAh battery that is rated to offer 240 hours of standby time.

Priced at Rs. 7,777, the device is Coolpad's first product to be available through offline channels. Coolpad Note 5 Lite C is the version of Coolpad Note 5 Lite which was launched in this year.

Optics include an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, f/2.4 aperture, and flash support.

Display wise, the Note 5 Lite C smartphone features 5.0-inch Full HD screen size with 1280 x 720 pixels.

In terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM Coolpad Note 5 Lite C offers various connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, USB OTG, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and data transfer.

The handset measures 142.4x70.4x7.95mm and weigh 139 grams.

The handset will be put up for sale on Saturday, August 5 and the device will be available via 3,000 multi-brand stores across eight states in India including Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra. However, the user has to opt for online shopping to purchase the Note 5 Lite.

With this device, the company is looking to venture into the offline retail space as before this all their devices launched went on sale online, with the last one being exclusively sold via Amazon. It also has finger print scanner along with light sensors and proximity sensors.
