Windows 10 preview gives Edge browser a facelift and debuts Eye Control

The company mentioned that the Tobii Eye Tracker 4C is now compatible and in the coming days the following devices would be supported too: Tobii Dynavox PCEye Mini, PCEyePlus, EyeMobile Plus, and I-series.

Borne out of a Microsoft hackathon challenge inspired by former National Football League player Steve Gleason, who suffers from ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), Eye Control enables disabled users with compatible eye tracker devices to operate Windows 10 PCs through gaze alone. Called Eye Control, the all-new feature lets you navigate your computer desktop, open applications, and enjoy the full Windows 10 experience using nothing but the movement of your eyes. Currently, Microsoft is supporting only the US English language keyboard layout, with the company planning to add more layouts in the future.

Eye Control allows people to use their eyes to control an on-screen mouse and keyboard and to operate Windows 10 text-to-speech functionality.

Windows Console: The new build of Windows 10 has also accompanied new color scheme for the Windows console.

The Edge browser has been adorned with the company's Acrylic material, a part of the company's new Fluent Design System that lends depth and transparency to various interface elements with the aim of providing a more modern and polished look.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Close to 15,000 channel partners got a surprised announcement from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella at the Inspire 2017 conference. The latest build is available now for Windows Insiders in the Fast ring.

If the suggested words do not fulfill your demand you can try for a different alternative. Using this feature, users can type quicker by looking at the first and last character of the word and gazing across the alphabets on the keyboard in between them. That is what Tobii was initially developed for in fact. The address bar has also received some updates, where it will remain under the cursor as long as it's not in focus and you aren't clicking on it or dragging any text around.

The launchpad partially blocks the Tobii UI during device calibration.

"Because it's a raw ISO link with limited installation guidance, only working on specific devices and versions of Windows 10 or in virtualised machines, this is very much meant only for developers and IT pros - not consumers to broadly download/switch to Windows 10 S", Microsoft warned. Now its default colors are getting their first overhaul in more than 20 years, with the hope of improving legibility of darker colors on modern screens.
