Gas Prices Decline In Michigan

Average retail gasoline prices in Missouri have risen 0.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.04/g yester-day, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 3,940 gas outlets in Missouri. Prices in Florida averaged $2.29 per gallon on Sunday, the same as they had been a week before.

Gas prices are up 8 cents per gallon in Rhode Island, to an average of $2.36 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas.

In Friday market action, benchmark US crude rose 55 cents, or 1.1 percent, to $49.58 per barrel in NY.

State of Tennessee- $2.13, up 5.7 cents per gallon from last week's $2.07. In June, prices hit a low of around $2.23 a gallon.

"Motorists are now finding gas prices 14 cents more than this time past year", Jenkins said on Monday. This compares with the national average that has increased 2.1 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.33/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

Including the change in gas prices in Texas during the past week, prices yesterday were 22.0 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 11.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

Crude oil prices remain stuck in a range between the upper $40s and low $50s per barrel, a slight increase from a trading band in the low to mid $40s. The Tampa Bay and Orlando markets were right behind with averages of $2.25 per gallon.

Of the 10 regularly reported Kansas cities (see chart), all experienced price increases in the past week, AAA Kansas notes.
