Akshay Kumar's Toilet -Ek Prem Katha to get a largest release

Much before the promotions of the movie - with a message on need for sanitation and ending open defecation - began in full swing, Akshay had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apprise him about the film's subject.

Clearing the rumour on the number of cuts, he clarified, "I read that the censor board has suggested eight cuts". I have only one job in life and that is to make films and take care of my family. She has her point of view and I have mine.

"The script of the film came to me".

Akshay's films are not biggest openers but because of like ability towards the content they run for at least 4 weeks in the theater and get that many eyeballs. We have neither seen nor heard about a love story emerging because of a toilet. Toilet has a very humble budget as it is set in the rural part of India but the film got its hype because of Akshay Kumar's star power.

Earlier, reports were doing rounds that CBFC had ordered eight verbal cuts in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha before giving it a "U/A" certification. "We hope that through the movie, and this campaign, we can bring more awareness to such an important issue".

Speaking about Shree Narayan Singh- directed Toilet and how he took up a film which highlights the issue of open defecation in India, the actor says, "Around 8-9 months ago, 54 per cent Indians didn't have a toilet at home". And with Anupam Kher by his side, with whom he has delivered hits, we are sure that this social messaging film could become a blockbuster.
