Noah Syndergaard had a Game of Thrones cameo

Everyone who is still here because they saw the episode. hello.

However, it appears that Sheeran wasn't the only celebrity that #GameOfThrones had up its sleeve this year. Instead, New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard - nicknamed Thor due to his long-haired likeness to the Marvel Comics superhero - was the latest star lucky enough to land a quick appearance on Thrones. The spear-throwing Syndergaard definitely looked like he belonged, although he wasn't around long enough to put a dent in the massive Dothraki army. "I thought at one point I was going to be a Knight of the Night's Watch, but I'll be a Lannister and I'll get killed by a dragon", added Syndergaard.

Syndergaard teased his cameo on the epic HBO series months ago.

"I couldn't pass it up", Syndergaard said of the guest appearance.

While watching it though, many of us didn't realize that Syndergaard was even there.

When it comes to cameos, Game of Thrones may be typecasting.

Some "Game of Thrones" fans might have been disappointed to find out that Syndergaard was on the side of the irascible Lannister clan rather than the Stark-backed Targaryen alliance during the episode's fierce battle. Also, Icelandic music groups Sigur Ros and Of Monsters and Men have landed themselves on the show. Tell us in the comment section below.
