Greater Manchester Police confirmed that they are dealing with a road traffic collision involving a young boy.

Eye-witnesses told the Manchester Evening News a woman was seen at the scene with "blood on her face", as others tried desperately to save the little boy's life.

Reports say a number of eyewitnesses heard loud screams in the area before police and rescue services arrived at the scene.

Armed police rushed to the scene as they were in close proximity at the time of the crash at around 10pm on Thursday evening.

At least three ambulances were also seen outside the building, which is half a mile from Manchester United's iconic Old Trafford ground.

"Police responding to collision involving young boy near Ibis hotel in Salford. Enquiries on-going", the police tweeted.

Police were called after witnesses say they heard "blood-curdling" screams coming from the vehicle park of the Ibis hotel in Salford Quays on Thursday night (10 August).

"A woman was shouting hysterically and a child/children were screaming and crying". Twenty-three people, mostly Grande's teenage fans and their relatives, were killed in the attack.
