Netflix Renews 'GLOW' For a Second Season

GLOW, aka the Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling, now has one season on the streaming service and ever since it was released back in June, audiences have continued to fall in love with it.

The series stars Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Marc Maron, Sydelle Noel, Britney Young and Kia Stevens and is set in the 1980s, inspired by the famous Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling promotion. No release date has been announced yet, but presumably the streaming service will aim for June/July 2018 release, as the first season premiered June 23.

Alongside glowing praise on Rotten Tomatoes, GLOW also has a 4-star Meta Critic rating and received a 93% thumbs up score on Google. Jenji Kohan and Tara Herrmann (Orange is the New Black) serve as executive producers while series creators Liz Flahive (Homeland) and Carly Mensch (Orange is the New Black) act as show runners. The post includes a 12-second video clip featuring a mesmerizingly glitzy pout followed by a neon number "2" to signify all the goodness to come.

We can't wait for the new episodes - hurry up Netflix! It joins "Santa Clarita Diet", "One Day at a Time", and "Dear White People" on the list of shows first released this year that were renewed.
